About

Our research focuses on the development of microfluidic systems in healthcare, environmental, and green energy applications. This work follows a long term goal to introduce microfluidic technologies to facilitate the investigation, treatment, and prevention of human diseases and environmental challenges. Fundamentally, we strive to understand the interactions between fluids and substances such as heavy metal ions, biological samples, and plastic particles at nano and micro scales. By researching multi-phase flow mechanics at micro-to-nano scales, we design lab-on-a-chip platforms and miniaturized sensing systems capable of detecting biological, chemical, and environmental targets. These technologies enable point-of-care diagnostics, environmental contaminant detection, and energy-related sensing applications that support global sustainability and public health.
